I am not normally an orange polish kind of girl, but every once in a while I get this desire to pop one one. This was one of those days. I find I am more willing to wear it if it isn`t alone, though. For that reason I added some glitter in a sort of gradient at the tips. I used my favorite orange to do that (listed below). Corals and tangerine shades seem to be popular this spring and summer. I keep seeing them pop up in ads left and right and tons of polish companies are including them in their spring/summer collections. I think we`ll be seeing orange sported on the nails more frequently this year. I`m curious, though, as to how many of you will be flashing orange varnish? Do you already own some oranges or do you expect to pick some up? If you hadn`t already picked them up, last years Essie collection had a fantastic selection of coral and orange polishes. Though, even if you can`t happen across that collection anymore, tons of other brands are pumping out oranges, too. It won`t be hard to find a nice one that suits you.
WHAT I`M WEARING: 1 coat of Milani Smoothe Base Coat 2 coats of Essie Orange, It`s Obvious! Zoya Tanzy for the gradient at the tips 1 coat of Seche Vite Tanzy is probably my very favorite orange. I can`t resist glitters and Zoya`s 2011 summer collection had beautiful glitters. When they were released I bought most of them. I kind of want to add to this manicure, but we`ll see. I don`t know yet if I`m going to leave it as is or add some designs or something. Either way, this is a cheery manicure, perfect for the unusually warm weather we are experiencing in the midwest. It was mid 60s yesterday! CRAZY! If you`d like to see a full manicure of just Tanzy, you can find my post on that by clicking http://pixiepolish.blogspot.com/2011/05/zoya-tanzy.html (Side note: Sorry for the crazy posting schedules. I went bare nailed over the weekend and then got sucked into playing a Sims 3 expansion for a long time... time just got away from me and I wasn`t doing anything with my nails. That`s my only excuse.)
