NotD: OPI Ogre-The-Top-Blue with L.A. Colors Art Deco Nail Art Lacquer

I was going through my nail polish collection the other day when I realized that I haven`t been very good about using my nail art polishes...there were a couple that I hadn`t even used yet! Despite the fact that I am *really* not good at nail art, I decided to do a mani with a simple design (one that even I couldn`t mess up!).

Here`s what I used for today`s mani:

Jordana Calcium Boost Base Coat with Calcium Gel

OPI Nail Lacquer in Ogre-The-Top-Blue

L.A. Colors Art Deco Nail Art Lacquer in Mint Green

L`Oreal Top Coat

I`m not sure what I`d call the design I made...some kind of plant? A sunburst? But I do like it! I`m actually really impressed with the L.A. Colors nail art polish. I bought it for 50 cents at a dollar store, and it actually worked really well! I have heard some people complain about nail art polishes that don`t even show up over a base colour, so I`m glad that this one did. It`s really vibrant! I did have to make sure to let the excess polish drip off the brush before applying the polish to my nails, though. I had a few bloopers where a blob of polish dripped down the shaft of the brush really fast and ruined my design. >.< So, I did have to do a few nails over again. But hey, it was good practice! ^^

Do you ever use nail art polishes? If so, what`s your favourite brand?
