Hello lovely Luuuxers!
Long time no post! The holidays, plus work and school, have been sapping out all of my free time! I`m currently hibernating in my apartment because where I live we are having record-breaking cold in the next few days...so what better way to spend my time then catch up on my Luuuxing!
OPI `Alcatraz...Rocks` is part of their Liquid Sand finish polishes, and released with the San Francisco collection a few months back. This is the first time I had tried a textured polish, and this one is SO stunning, I actually went back and bought a few more Liquid Sand polishes to add to my collection! I`d describe it as a steel gray-blue base that is chock-full of glitters in many different tones of gold, silver, blue, and green. In the light, the glitter just dances and it was completely opaque with two coats.
The one downside is that you can`t use a base-coat on this polish unless you want to get rid of the texture, which you obviously can do, but if you want it to stay semi-matte, it does chip sort of fast. I`ve had this manicure for about a week now and it`s looking really chippy. But I think I can forgive that aspect...the color is so nice that I don`t really care.
I actually had this manicure on for New Years and it was perfect for the occasion!!
Have you tried any Liquid Sand polishes, or any other textured polish?
