NOTD: Nude amp Pastels

My current nails. If you all saw my last nail post, you will know my look was quite bold and edgy. After having that, I wanted something soft, cute, yet simple. I knew I wanted to go with a nude color and that was it.

I chose Sally Hansens complete manicure color in Without a Stitch. Its a gorgeous nude. I feel it does lean more on the yellowy side, but I till like it. The application wasn`t terrible. I made the mistake of adding to much polih to the brush on my 1st coat and had to remove them and start over. With most of my Complete Manicure polishes the polishes are quite thick. So I had to go in with very thin coats. It took 3 to get it completely opaque. 3 seems like a lot but it didn`t apply thick at all which is one of the things that worry me when applying more than 2 coats. The brush is also of decent size. More than decent actually. These are the only polihes I have seen with this size brush. They are slightly larger than most but not to the point where it makes it difficult to apply.

After I finished coating my nails, I was going to just apply a top coat but then thought about doing a french-ish look. White with that color would`ve looked to bright since the color is not so pale. I opted for pastel tips. I picked 4 more colors from Sally Hansen Complete Manicure line. For my pinky and thumbs I used First Kiss, which is a coral color. For my ring finger I used Barracuda, a favorite to a lot of Luuuxers. A pale blue. For my ring finger Yellow Kitty, a pale yellow. For my pointer finger Delphinium, a pale soft purple. I also broke that nail which is why its so short, as well as the others. I didn`t want them to look so long next it since it broke pretty low. My nail break vertically and stops at the skin. It is horrible especially if I don`t notice and I accidently have it pull. I can`t seem to break away from it. The crack just always comes back. I so got off track.

I topped the look off with Seche Vite`s top coat. I thought this looked turned out cute without being too much in the kiddy department. I also use thin line because of the length of my nails. Short nails look better with thin lines because it keeps them from looking cut and even shorter. A thicker line will make the nail bed appear really short.

Hope you all like this look!
