These were my nails last week. I had decided prior to painting them that I wanted a green polish. Whether it was, bright, pastel, or solid, I wasn`t sure. I checked my stash and landed on Sally Hansens mint sorbet. Its one of my favorite greens. Plus green is supposed to be lucky. The 1st time I wore this polish, a year ago, I paired it with another Sally Hansen glitter polish. The always loved Strobe Light. I wanted to switch it up and opted for Set the Stage.
What I did.
*Seche Vite base coat
*2 at times 3 coats of mint sorbet. Some nails were more opaque than others. I love this color but am not a fan of the formula. Its runny and thin. My opinion has yet to change on it.
*On my ring finger I attempted to make flowers with dots coming out of it. Yes thats what they are! That was my 1st time attempting it on myself. I`ve done a better job on others. I used Essie`s Sand tropez for the flowers and dots. For the flower you just place dots (you could add more) in a diamond shape then use a toothpick and pull the color in. In the center of the flowers I placed one piece of glitter from Set The Stage. I just used the same toothpick to get it from the brush.
*I then used one coat of Set The Stage for the other nails.
*Topped the look with Rock`s top coat.
This look lasted almost an entire week without any chips! Review coming up on the top coat.
Is this a color you would wear? Are you a fan of pastel polishes?
