I haven`t had a new manicure to share with you because the last one I had on I wore for nearly a week before changing it. It was holding up well and I hate to remove a manicure (even if I hate it) until it has some wear to justify doing so. My manicure today was a mixture of playing around with new nail products. New polish, new stamps, new rhinestones. I started by applying my typical base coat of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails. Next, I applied 2 coats of Essie Nothing Else Metals. I stamped the flowers from the Born Pretty Store Hello Kitty plate and Sinful Colors Black on Black polish. I dipped on a bit of top coat to the center of 1 flower per nail and pressed on a purple star shaped rhinestone. I sealed everything in with a coat of Seche Vite. Some of the little stars can be a bit sharp so I buffed a few edges down on ones that were irritating me or catching on stuff. Other than that, they are fantastic. They`re a really good size for nail designs. The image plate gave me a bit of trouble. I had to play around with it a bit to figure out that it works best if I just barely scrape away the excess polish. If I apply any sort of pressure beyond that it would make the image come out patchy. The quality just isn`t as good as some others. It works, but you may need to play around with it to find out what works best. While this isn`t a review of the Essie polish, let`s just say I`m less than pleased with it. I didn`t like how it applied in the very least. I`m actually tempted to just return it. I haven`t returned a polish in a very long time... if that tells you anything.
