Today`s nails are from Lancome Vernis Absolu in Eau, a color that`s about 10 years old at this point. I got this polish a long time ago when I went to a Lancome outlet with my mom while we were on vacation sometime in the early 2000`s. There was a deal going on and my mom let me pick out a color.
Amongst all the reds and pinks, I only wanted the green. My mom thought I was weird. Turns out I was kind of ahead of the curve, since mint green polish has been making a comeback in recent years! :)
The color, "eau" is a minty green with iridescent shimmers. Eau means water in french, so this is definitely a fitting name. On its own, the polish is pretty translucent. It would take about 5-6 coats to achieve an opaque finish--so I wore one coat of black, then 2 coats of Lancome Vernis Absolu Eau on top. Wear time is ok but it will chip within 3 days if you don`t use a good top coat, I get 6 days of wear with Seche Vite on top.
I really love this color, and I`m sad that I`m done to my last few manis with this bottle. Maybe Lancome will re-release this color in the future!
