First of all, I apologize for the blurry photo - I didn`t realize it wasn`t clear after I took it, and now my mani is chipped (and thus no longer photo-worthy!). Hopefully you can all still get an idea of what this nail polish shade looks like - and in my opinion, it`s gorgeous!
Julep describes Helena as an "ultra-saturated fuchsia", which I agree with. I love, love, love fuschia lip and nail colours. It`s a bright colour that works really well with my skin tone (I am pale, but very warm-toned). This shade is practically a neon - it`s extremely vivid, but not to the point that it burns your retinas, lol. It`s very punchy and summery, but I know I will wear it year-round, because I love it that much. It gives me a little boost whenever I look at it on my nails. =)
The only issue I have with this polish is the formula - it`s quite runny. As such, I applied it a bit too thickly and got a few air bubbles. >.< But this is a minor issue, overall. I love the colour, so I will forgive the formula, lol One thing that is great about the formula is that the polish is opaque in two coats (which is not always the case with brighter nail polish colours). It does have a bit of a matte-ish finish, but I prefer my bright colours to be glossy, so I applied a top coat, as well.
What do you think of this shade? Have you tried any Julep nail polishes before?
