NOTD: Independence Day Manicure

I have moved around several of my scheduled posts to make sure I get time to put up some July 4th manicures. This is the first one I am going to share with you. Unfortunately, all of my photos (with the exception of one) are completely color inaccurate. They`re making the silver look like a champagne color. ::grumble:: I`m thinking it is because of the red bottle. When I photographed with a blue bottle it cooled the color down. I started this manicure with a coat of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails for my basecoat. That was followed by 2 coats of Sally Hansen Celeb City. Normally, at this point I would apply a layer of top coat to separate the base color from the stamps or design I`m going to do. The reason being, if I were to mess up or just be unhappy with how it turns out I could wipe away the design without removing the base. Without the top coat I`m taking the risk that every nail will turn out the way I want it to. But, I went with it. I used Konad plate M45 and a combo of Sinful Color polishes in Ruby Ruby and Midnight Blue on the plate. I applied them to the tips of the nails and finally applied a coat of Seche Vite. In person, I`m loving the way the manicure turned out. It stamped clean and the colors are vibrant. I just wish that was translating to the pictures! So, what are your plans for the 4th of July? We are having a family get together but it will be the following weekend. With the 4th falling in the middle of the week it is hard for the whole family to get together at the same time. (The last photo is the one that shows the manicure the most color accurate.)
