This is one of the last two from the Essie fall collection. I was having a hard time finding all six colors in one location, but I do own them all now. I`m pleased to be able to say that because I didn`t think I`d find them. When I saw promo images I thought, "Nah. I`ll never really wear that kind of color." But I love it! Its odd, the colors from the collection that I thought I would fall head over heels for ended up being nice, but not my favorites. And the ones I thought were wild cards are the ones I like the most! Funny how things work out.
This is an unusual color and I do feel it is one that you`ll love or hate. Its a sort of, burnt orange-brown/tan. Essie is calling it a "classic burnt sienna." Yeah, that is pretty spot on! It is a creme finish, too.
application was great. I swear, they really are getting so much better with their color selection AND the formulation on their polishes. This makes me exceptionally happy because 1) I love Essie and 2) Their polishes seem to last the longest so if I have a color similar from Essie and another brand, I`m more likely to reach for the Essie.
Pigmentation wasn`t at all lacking. I probably would have been fine with one coat. However, I applied two...mostly out of habit.
WHAT I DID:
1 coat of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails
2 coats of Essie Very Structured
1 coat of Milani One Coat Glitter in Gold Glitz just to the ring fingers
1 coat of Seche Vite
Originally I was going to do a design over Very Structured, but then I remembered I recently bought Gold Glitz and hadn`t used it yet. Its a perfect match up. Gold Glitz has true, bright gold and then orange-gold glitter flecks and just works nicely with the burnt color of the Essie. Together they really remind me of fall and all of the drying leaves changing color. At the same time, I picture a cozy night by the fire with hot chocolate or cider and gingerbread cookies. Seriously... that is where my mind goes. The colors just remind me of something cozy and familiar.
While I didn`t think this would be a color I`d like all that much, I can say I will be wearing this quite a lot these next few months. My eyes are drawn to this bottle every time I`m standing in front of my polishes looking for a new color to wear.
-Oh, and don`t mind the water drop on my pinky finger. It has been raining, again, and I was outside in it to take pictures. :-)
