This is Color clubs Blue-ming from their spring 2012 blossoming collection but despite the name, it looks more like a light turquoise creme to me. I purchased this shade bearing in mind that the last turquoise polish I remember wearing didnt quite make it into my list of favourites. This one just looked a little different I cant describe how, maybe because it was slightly lighter that I just felt I needed to pick it up. I quite like this one; I think its my favourite turquoise Ive come across.
Cant really say the consistency is the best but it wasnt unbearable to me. I applied three coats, one thin and two slightly thick. Being such a light shade the first coat was streak city, the second was alright as I piled it on slightly thicker than the first. I saw that it was still uneven so I added a third coat and finished it off with China Glazes fast forward top coat.
It does feel slightly thick on the nails which Id usually be bothered about but I got used to it after a short while. I guess I was being more lenient because I quite like the shade and surprisingly this colour doesnt make me look too tanned.
I was really tempted to add a layer of glitter on top and that would be my current go to glitter layering polish at the moment, China glazes Techno. But I didnt want to take the attention away from the colour and just left it as it was.
I really need to get used to maintaining and polishing my nails more often again. I have such a shaky hand when I polish my nails nowadays. Took me ages to file my nails down and now looking at the photos I can see that the nail on my ring finger is slightly slanted.
I tried retaking the photos because I didnt feel that these ones were good enough since I took them whilst it was getting dark. But in daylight it shows up as more blue on camera. I guess thats why they might have named it Blue-ming?
Did you pick up anything from the blossoming collection? What do you think of this colour?
