I bought the OPIs Best of the Best collection months ago online, but I have still not even half of the colors in the package. Thus, instead of choosing an older polish I decided to try out one of the polishes from this collection. I was feeling like wearing a loud pink, but Strawberry Margarita did not seem loud enough. This is why I decided to try the red Cajun Shrimp polish.
What I did:
I cleaned my nails carefully with nail polish remover and cotton pads, although I did not have any nail polish on them. I did not shape or buff my nails, because I had just cut and filed them a couple of days ago. I put the base coat and I added two layers of OPIs Cajun Shrimp sealing it with a layer of top coat. After the manicure was done, I let it dry comletely and cleaned the mistakes I had made.
OPIs Cajun Shrimp is a strong medium red color that is meant to be noticed. The color is more towards orange rather than purple without any dullness or greyness at all. It is totally a in-your-face color, so this is not the red for a subtle look. Although I am not really a fan of red polish, especially orange red, I like this polish in a weird way due to the intensity of color.
I am used to the OPIs smaller bottles with the small brushes now, so that does not bother me anymore. The manicure still did not go too good, because being a silly girl I poured my base coat into another bottle before using it. Hence, there are ugly tiny bubbles in my manicure.
