Nordstrom Dress Haul

I was browsing on the Nordstrom website a few weeks ago and stumbled upon these Junior dresses that I happened to really like. They are by the brand "Soprano" and they were called the Soprano Ruched Tank Dress for Juniors.

What originally caught my eye was the color that these dresses came in. One color was a dark navy blue, you can never go wrong with navy blue. The other was this beautiful turquoise green color, which they called the shade "mint". What was even better was that these dresses were on sale for only $14.97 from their original price (I think $47 or $49) so that was a good deal!

I was reading the reviews on this dress and there seemed to some mixed reviews - people either loved the color of the dress or they didn`t think that it was that flattering. At first glance at the dress, I thought that it was going to be extremely flattering since the strap that lays on your shoulder is a bit wide and the neckline on both the front and the back of the dress is a V-cut. There`s rouching all alongside of the dress at the sides and at the middle, which was why I thought it was going to be flattering. I had no idea which size would fit me (Small or Medium) and which color would end up fitting me more. Since Nordstroms has free shipping and free returns, I decided to purchase four dresses in total for this order, which came out to be $64.68: 1 Navy dress in Small & Medium and 1 Mint dress in Small & Medium.

When the dress arrived, I tried it on and Medium was definitely too big for me. I tried on the Mint dress and the reviews were right! It definitely did not look as flattering as I had thought and seemed to make you look bigger than you actually were despite the rouching of the dress. In the end, I have decided to return the Mint dress in both Small & Medium and the Navy dress in Medium. I`m only keeping the Navy dress in size Small. What a shame! That mint color seriously is too beautiful.
