I am absolutely in love with my Nook Tablet, it`s a great ereader and tablet all around. so many apps - granted, not nearly as many as a droid based one but the reality is, I use it to read 95% of the time. Now, one of the reason I fell in love with it even more was because of the Hunger Games. I downloaded the first book and was beyond hooked so the fact that I could just double tap and buy the next two made it beyond convenient.
that being said, I decided to get my oldest daughter one as well. in that sense she`s just like me (although never say that to a teenager lol), she absolutely LOVES to read, is normally walking around with 3-4 books so this was a great gift for her.
there is such a difference between the simple touch and the tablet. as you can see, the simple touch is small, it essentially fits on the palm of my hand and weighs next to nothing. the screen is so much darker than the tablet, it does have wi-fi and you can access the barnes & noble store. it has a ridiculously long battery life and I think it`s because the screen doesn`t eat up so much of it, oh and it has like no glare to it at all. it stores oh, about 1,000 books, it`s just bananas !!
oh, and the sweater part of the deal? I had gotten an email from Barnes & Noble with this great offer, $20 off if you purchase it with a master card AND I went through ebates so I got some cashback there too. the nook simple touch runs for $99 plus tax and I ended up paying $85, super happy about it !
