As mentioned (see post HERE: http://www.luuux.com/technology/shannons-nook-hd) I was given a Nook HD+ two weeks ago by my lovely boyfriend. Two days after receiving, we went by Barnes and Nobles so I could get myself a case and some screen protectors for my Nook. I`m crazy with electronics so I wanted to make sure my Nook had a proper carrying case and screen protector because scratches are forever and I don`t like scratches.
Unfortunately with the new HD+`s there are not many choices for covers. Many are, in my humble opinion, ugly. The only case that caught my eye was this vibrant red shade, which had a textured criss-crossed square framed patterns over the front cover. The case was made by Jonathan Adler. Quite expensive -- the case was $39.95 before state sales tax.
Next I picked up some screen protectors for $21.95. Again, quite expensive for a piece of thin plastic. I scoured the internet high and low and could not find a cheaper alternative online. Case, screen protectors, etc. The HD+ is just too new for cheaper alternatives currently.
As mentioned in my post -- I`m unfortunately going to be returning all of these items. I seriously love the case and hope I can find a similar one for whatever e-reader/tablet I decide to go with -- but there were just TOO many technical issues and customer service not being able to figure out issues I was having with the Nook software for me to deal with it any longer. It`s too much of a financial investment to be unhappy with.
Do you buy cases for your electronics?
