Watching a NBA game is one of the few sports that I don`t mind attending live. It`s pretty exciting and there`s usually lots of celebrities to spot at Madison Square Garden home of the Knicks. Today the NBA passed an interesting rule that basically penalizes a player for flopping.
Flopping is when a player exaggerates a foul usually from physical contact from the person with a ball. This gets the referee to call a fake offensive foul call. Possibly even a flagrant call. First violation gets a warning, second a fine of $5K, third a fine of 10K, fourth 15K, fifth 30K and sixth could lead to a suspension.
I think while some flopping are pretty obvious, some are not so. It`s very judgmental call. Do you think the NBA is making a right decision?
