The Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolor range is expanding! These new nail lacquers are exclusive to Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada and CVS in the USA. These six gorgeous colors (I think the USA exclusives might have a shade or two extra) look like they would be perfect for spring and summer- I wish they would have launched a few months ago!
The nail lacquers are meant to reflect each one of the Kardashian/Jenner family members personalities and individual style. Im usually a huge fan of Nicole by OPI nail lacquers- mainly for the brush (it just makes my cuticles so neat and perfectly shaped), but also I find them to usually have pretty good pigmentation. Unfortunately, not all of these nail polishes are as opaque as I would like but there are a few winners in the group!
The collection includes:
Paparazzi Dont Preach: A gorgeous blush nude pink; definitely my favorite out of them all. Even though it just screams spring, Id wear this all year round. Its soft, feminine and a little different from the traditional nude polish. (RATING: A)
Ladies in the Limelight: A vibrant lime-yellow; this one lacked in pigmentation, but after 3 coats it was quite pretty! Very bold and bright! (RATING: B+)
One Big Happy Fame-ily: A soft lavender with silver shimmer; looks beautiful after 3 coats, but goes on really streaky and thin. I wish this one would have been more opaque! (RATING: B)
Stroke a Pose: A coral red- this one is definitely the most pigmented out of them all (ironic, because the formula is quite thin). It looks stunning and Im already wearing it on my toes! (RATING: A)
Our Fuchsias Lookin Bright: This purple fuchsia cream is also quite pigmented, and even though its a gorgeous color, its not that unique. (RATING: A-)
Back to RealityTV: I really wanted to love this periwinkle shade with micro flecks of pink shimmer; it looks beautiful in the bottle! However, I think this polish may just take the cake for one of the worst formulas Ive ever tried.. super streaky and sheer (I needed 4 coats for a nice finish)! (RATING: D)
Overall, the collection does have a few winners like Paparazzi Dont Preach and Strike A Pose in terms of beautiful, unique shades. I wish the quality and opacity of the polishes were more consistent- because if you see a shade in store, you dont want to take a chance on a dud formula (good thing weve got blog reviews on the internet, right?)!
