I just cannot get enough of these new Sonia Kashuk lipsticks! I love them so much already and I want to go back for more!
When I picked these up I chose these three shades to try out. I thought that the nude would look nice to try but the purple and the coral ones I choose for spring and summer.
The packaging is a square black matte tube with a clear top cap that displays what the color looks like then it has the Sonia Kashuk logo on the side of the packaging. The packaging is very good quality and its also on the heavy side and its actually heavier then a M.A.C. lipstick. The lipstick also has the SK emblem on the top of the lipstick itself and I thought that was a nice touch and it made it look more expensive then what it really is but the emblem did wear off after I applied the lipstick twice.
This new line of lipsticks has a new formula to them in comparison to last seasons line of lipsticks. These lipsticks have a SPF of 16 which great since this is the spring/summer line and you should protect your lips while still having on a beautiful lip color!
OMG the pigmentation of these well at least two of the three that I have are amazing! While I was swatching them out on my arm I was so shocked at how opaque the color was turning out. I literally was all WOW! as I was swiping the lipstick on my arm. The lipstick are just very creamy and to me they feel moisturizing.
Violetta: This one isnt as pigmented as the other 2 because the formula of this one is more of a jelly/balm feeling. Its more of a nice sheer wash of color. It is though very buildable. In the swatch picture that it about 2 swipes. The color is like a violet with blue undertones. There are no shimmers in it but the color is very shiny. I personally love lip colors like this and this totally reminds me of my favorite lipglass from M.A.C. that was from the Hello Kitty collection called Sweet Strawberry.
Soft Nude: Soft Nude is your typical fleshy tones nude color. It has some very fine shimmer in it but you can barely see it once its applied on your lips. Im very picky when it comes to nude lipsticks but this one actually works really well for me. This one is really creamy so Id probably wear this one with a nude lip liner underneath to avoid applying too many layers of this but overall its a nice color and it also have a nice shiny color payoff.
Sunkissed: This particular lipstick was like BAM when I swatched it! Its an incredibly pigmented coral color. This one was the most pigmented out of the three. Just like the others this too also had incredible shine to it. This has no shimmers to it but I think thats okay because the color itself is already so bold and pigmented you really dont need shimmer or anything to add to the lipstick.
I love all three of these lipsticks and they are so prefect for this season! Im for sure going to go back for some of the other shades!
