Sony submitted to the Federal Communications Commission, a U.S. company that regulates the communications area, what appears to be a new model of PlayStation 3.
The model submitted for evaluation is called the CECH-4001x, a superior version of the 3000 models that can be found in stores, and as pointed out by one NeoGAF user, there is a difference in the placement of the mark from the FCC.
Despite being a new model, the CECH-4001x can not differ in design than the current PlayStation 3 Slim. The differences may be only at the hardware level, the console making it cheaper to produce and more energy efficient.
Furthermore, it is noted that the new version of the console 16GB, come in the form of flash memory, the final price of the console 99 pounds, no more than 127 EUR.
