The Nike+ sensor is a popular Nike product that allows users to track their progress on an ipod or iphone by placing a sensor in their shoes.
They have been trying to improve it, but most of the changes were made in the app. However, the next generation of Nike+ sensors will be awesome from what i have been reading.
It will have different sensors and acelarometer to track the movements accurately and not just in the usual ways. In case you play something like basket or sports that involve jumping you could use this because it will measure how high you jump, how quickly you move and much more, all that is sent to your iDevice so you can then analyze everything properly.
The new sensor will also be compatible with the new Nike+ Training app they have developed that will help you exercise by giving you motivation and help in your workouts ( i have posted the app before actually). The new app also brings a competitive side to working out because you will get points and compete with your friends in the workout to see who has more points.
As you can see, the new Nike+ sensor will have a lot of new and more accurate feautres with a new app that will be much more helpful.
Do you have a Nike+ sensor? Is it something you would get?
Do you use workout apps?
