On Sunday we had a family get together and I had put on a pair of flats that I hadn`t worn since I was pregnant. Back when I was pregnant with my son my feet had started to swell early on and I needed something comfortable to wear to work so I had bought some black flats with built in Dr. Scholls insoles. Well, I only wore them for a few weeks because my feet continued to swell and they quickly became uncomfortable. Fast forward to the end of my pregnancy.... my shoe size went up a size and all of my shoes prepregnancy and through the pregnancy no longer fit. Any of you who have had children may have experienced the same thing. Its pretty common. Well, I don`t know why I hung onto these shoes. Either way, I found them on Sunday and assumed "well, I kept these... it must have been because they were one of the few pairs that still fit comfortably." WRONG!
I was wearing these for only a couple of hours when they started rubbing at the backs of my heels terribly bad. I had blisters forming and knew there was no way I would make it the whole day wearing these. We were stopping at Target anyway to pick up an Angry Birds toy for my son so I figured I`d swing through the clearance section of the shoes and grab something that would get me through the day. I did find shoes, but they weren`t clearanced. Anything in the clearance section that looked like they could be comfortable either weren`t or they didn`t have my size.
I ended up buying these cute little black flats. They`re not solid black. At the toe there is a strip of fabric with black, white, and grey stripes. There is also a little leather fringe at the toe area. The really exciting part, for me, was the fact that the insides have fur! (perhaps faux fur). Yeah buddy! can wear these flats through the cold months and keep my feet warm!
They`re so cozy. They were a breath of fresh air for my sore feet. I even got compliments from an inlaw that she thought my shoes were very cute. If I remember correctly, they cost $19.99.
