The Neuschwanstein Castle is one of the most visited castles in Germany. Located in Bavaria, near the town of Fussen, many tourists just hop on a train from Munich for a day trip to the magical palace, which is the epitome of romanticism in the 19th century. Neuschwanstein Castle was commissioned by King Ludwig II of Bavaria, who was also known as the Fairy Tale King, as an ode to the world renowned composer Richard Wagner.
The fairy tale like components of the castle inspired Walt Disney`s Magic Kingdom.
