One of the places I would love to visit is Washington D.C. and whenever the time I do visit, I would love to visit in April especially because there is the annual
Cherry Blossom Festival. The cherry blossoms look so beautiful when the flowers bloom and during the festival- that lasts 2 weeks seems like a great experience to visit. However, Washington D.C. during this time is expected to be really crowded so if you`re not a fan of crowds this may not be the place for you to visit or just go really early to avoid crowds.
A little history about the cherry blossom festival.. 3,000 cherry trees were gifted to Washington D.C from Tokyo since 1912. The parade this year started April 14 until Summer. Not only can you visit the cherry blossoms but there`s a lot you can do in the area such as: Paddle Boating through the Jefferson Memorial and Japanese Cherry Trees > This would seem very relaxing and something I`d love to do! =) Cherry Blossom Tours Cherry Blossom Cruises Biking around the Area Free Cultural Performances Visit Jefferson Memorial Horse Carriage Ride More places you can visit in the area: http://dc.about.com/cs/familyactivities/a/CherryBlossom.htm
Have you visited the Cherry blossoms in Washington D.C? Have you been to Washington D.C.?
