I absolutely love this colour of lipgloss by Nars which reminds me so much the one that I owned from MAC Sock Hop. Unfortunately isn`t the same on the lips but it`s still very nice in terms of colour it is more pinky and less orange and for some point of view is more natural.
Unfortunately I usually not that impressed from Nars lipglosses and usually the main reason is the awful smell which this one doesn`t have but this time I came shocked that it has the brush applicator (really really tiny) and not the sponge applicator which I prefer. I don`t know you but the brush applicator for lipglosses is very unconvenient for me to use because I had to take much time in order to do a good job plus I need to be very precise and carefull. Plus this really tiny brush takes ages to use it.
Overall is nice, the stain power is good and it`s in between sticky and cream, not sticky as the MAC ones but not creamy as the cremesheen either. It almost accentuate the fine line of my lips maybe because a little tinge of milk that it contains. But I rather prefer the stickiness than the creaminess because I found that sticky lipglosses even though they are annoying to use are better in terms of lasting power..
I really love the lustrous finish that it gives and if I can be able to came across the brush I will probably buy more of these lipglosses if only they would be cheaper and if only I can choose a good colour that suits me nice. I also find that overall I can`t achieve the colour of the bottle at all, in part because I already have pigmented lips but also because it`s a sheer formula when distributed on the lips well and maybe just on swatches is nice like when you apply it on the hand and you packing on colour.
Nars always came with this funny name and this time is the time for Odalisque and for the very hopeful definition of Larger than Life.
