Nails of the day : Sinful Colors and Julie G

originally my 5 yr old picked out a couple of pink nail polishes from my "untried" box, but then I realized I still have green on my toes so I looked for another combo that went a little more with it. I settled on Sinful Colors "Mint Apple" and Julie G "My Private Palace".

right away you can tell which one is the belle of the ball (no pun intended, ok maybe a little one lol). the Julie G polish stands out in such away, I mean it just screams "look at me !" right?

I gotta say, I am not a fan of the Sinful Colors polish or the brush. the color is beautiful of course, it`s a mint green with silver shimmers through it, it`s very opaque, with two coats I had full coverage. I did find that the brush was coarse which made application kinda meh, it`s thick but not streaky or difficult, I think the only reason I struggled with it was because it took forever to dry so I completely ruined one hand and had to start all over and well, again the brush sucked in my opinion.

as far as the Julie G - not a single complaint, it was opaque with one coat, it`s a very complex shade, it`s supposed to be a top coat/layering polish to add a little punch but I swear, two coats of this is enough to stand on it`s own. I don`t think it`s a neutral shimmer, I think it has tons of duo chrome gold because it sometimes flashes green in the bottle. I only used it as an accent nail and it`s straight out metallic greenish gold in person. this has got to be one of my favorite polishes of all time, holy cow it`s gorgeous !

if you get a change to buy the Julie G line, do it, the polishes are just such great quality and super cheap.

(sorry for the pre clean up pics)
