Hi everyone! I would like to share with you all my current nails. I have been wearing them for three days now I believe. Currently it is still winter here and it is always so gloomy. So to "brighten" up my mood, I have decided to slowly transition my nails to a lighter polish as opposed to the dark and vampy polishes that I have been wearing lately. This current polish look on my nails will not last long since I am planning on painting my nails to correspond to Valentines Day. (Still deciding if I should use red or pink).
What I used to get this nail look: (Please excuse the dry cuticles)
-Base: Seche Natural Matte
-Base colour: Nicole by OPI It Starts With Me. This is a metallic colour which makes it very "shiny" almost foil like. I applied 2 coats of this. The application was very smooth and it dried quite quickly. What I love about this polish is that in different lighting, the polish seems to look different. And by different I do not mean duo chrome, it is more like the polish becomes a different shade of the same colour (if that makes any sense...). In darker lighting the polish is like a sandy, golden colour. In medium lighting it seems to look like a champagne colour. In bright lighting it some how becomes a silvery pink colour. I did not notice this until my friend said: "I like your metallic pink nails." I was really shocked when she said this since I have never thought of this polish as being pink. Nor have I ever seen it as being pink. This polish has its wonders. I secretly look at what shade the polish is when I enter different lighting. Weird I know, but I am curious.
-For the ring finger, I applied OPI Glow Up Already on top of the Nicole by OPI It Starts With Me. This polish is from the Burlesque collection that came out during the holiday season of 2010. This is a glitter polish that contains gold, green, red, and silver fine glitters. It really is a holiday polish, but I did not mind since I needed a glitter to jazz up my nails. And the gold colour works well with the colour of Nicole by OPI It Starts With Me. This is going to be a pain to take of since it is a glitter polish. But luckily I only painted this glitter polish on only two fingers!
-Top coat: Seche Vite.
Overall this is a simple nail look that anyone can do. You can use any base colour for you nails and use a corresponding glitter on your ring finger. I hope you enjoyed my nail look of the day! I will be posting another one for my Valentines Day nail look, so make sure to watch out for it!
Do you like the look of them? What is your favourite glitter polish?
