Nails: Austin-tatious Turquoise + I Vant to Be A-Lone Star

I was bored a few nights ago and decided to re-do my nails lol. I went with two OPI polishes that I purchased awhile back. These are the mini versions from their Texas Collection. I bought it in a pack with one other color (Do You Think I`m Tex-y?) and a top coat.

What`s on my nails?

- 1 coat Sally Hansen Hard as Nails
- 3 coats Austin-tatious Turquoise (on all nails except ring fingers and thumbs)
- 2 coats I Vant to Be A-Lone Star (on ring fingers and thumbs)
- 1 coat Seche Vite

Austin-tatious Turquoise is a really pretty blue-ish green color with a lot of shimmers. It kind of reminds me of a mermaid`s tail haha. The formula on this one was really easy to work with, but it was definitely on the sheer side. In the pictures I have on three coats. Other than that, I really like the formulation.

I Vant to Be A-Lone Star is a pale blue with silver shimmers. The shimmers aren`t noticeable at a quick glance, but with a closer look I can see the tiny shimmers. As with most pastel polishes, I was having trouble applying it. I felt like it was a little bit on the thicker side for me so it was slightly streaky and didn`t smooth out as easily as the other polish. I checked out some swatches and a few people said it was sheer, but for me I didn`t think it was too sheer. In the pictures I have on two coats. I actually really like the color, but the formulation was annoying to work with.

Do you own Austin-tatious Turquoise or I Vant to Be A-Lone Star? What`s your favorite OPI polish? Recommendations?
