Last week was miserable where I live. It rained for the whole week pretty much non-stop. Certain places were flooded so I pretty much stayed inside most of the time. On of those days I decided to paint my nails. I wasn`t sure what I wanted to wear so I closed my eyes and reached into my box of untried polishes. The polish I ended up picking was China Glaze Lorelei`s Tiara which is from the 3D Eye Candy collection. I picked up this polish during the holiday on sale at Sally Beauty Supply.
>>China Glaze "Lorelei`s Tiara" is a silver glitter polish with medium size blue glitter in a clear base. The silver glitters are very fine and packed together that 2-3 coats would cover up most of the bald spots. I chose to use 3 coats and a very thick layer of top coat.
CGLT is a very eye catching polish and is a little too much for this time of year so I decided to pair it with a more calming color. I initially wanted to use the glitter polish for a gradient look because the nails I had before was a gradient look but I was too lazy so I opted for an accent nail instead.
The second polish I chose was China Glaze "Shower Together". This polish is a polish from the core collection and a polish not from my box of untried. It is one of my favorite blue polishes I own. It is very calming and reminds me of the ocean. CGST has a creme finish and only needs 2 coats for full opacity. The polish is very smooth and easy to work with as well.
Other items I used was Sally Hansen Hard as Nails and Julep Fast Drying Top Coat.
What`s your favorite nail polish brand? (China Glaze, Opi, Orly, Essie, Zoya, etc) Do you like wearing blue polishes? Do you like wearing glitter polishes?
