My Wedding MakeupHair...Done By Me! :)

I recently got married on October 15th, 2011. After much thought, I decided to do my own hair and makeup on my big day. It might sound like a risky move BUT no one knows my face and hair better than I do haha. I actually had a few trials with different MUA`s and I hated the results. Most of them didn`t listen to what I wanted, and did something traditional...the exact opposite of what I wanted. I wanted something edgy and young, I`m only 22 for gosh sake! I did a few trials on myself until I got it perfect and when it came to my wedding day, it went perfectly! I got SO many compliments! I`ve included a few pictures of my hair and makeup (well more than a few haha!) I hope you will be able to see the makeup well enough, it`s hard to find straight on shots. I will also list ALL the products I used! Please enjoy! And I hope this helps future brides...or just anyone wanting a beautiful look!

:::Products Used:::

*Benefit POREfessional: I applied this to my T-zone - cheeks, nose, forehead and chin
*Make Up Forever HD Primer in #5: This is the blue primer which adds radiance to fair skin and reduces minor imperfections. I applied this to my entire face
*Make Up Forever Full Coverage Concealer in Light Beige 3: I applied this to any of my acne scars, redness and of course, under my eyes
*Make Up Forever Invisible Coverage HD Foundation in #120 Soft Sand: Since I had been tanning a bit, this shade matches me perfectly. Normally, I wear shade #117. I applied this with my Real Techniques Stipple brush all over my face. I let it dry and then I added another light layer.
*Make Up Forever Duo Mat Powder Foundation in #200 Beige Opalescent: I took a large fluffy powder brush and lightly dusted this all over my face to set my foundation
*N.Y.C Smooth Skin Bronzer in Sunny: I used this matte bronzer to lightly contour my face. I lightly contoured my cheeks, my nose, and dusted a little on my forehead and chin
*Make Up Forever Powder Blush in #112 Dusty Pink: I placed this blush on the backs of my cheeks and slightly blended it
*Make Up Forever HD Microfinish Powder: I used a large fluffy brush and lightly dusted this all over my face to set everything
*MAC Fix+: I used this as a final touch before I walked down the aisle, just to make sure that everything was seamless and perfect

*Make Up Forever Aqua Cream in #18 Purple: I wanted to use this as my base. They last all day and are so pigmented. It`s a beautiful lilac purple
*Kat Von D True Romance Eyeshadow Palette in Truth: This palette was perfect for the look I was going for. I used (4) main shades:
Prague (plum)
Galeano (pale lilac)
Sugar Skull (vanilla)
Rehab (golden tan)
*Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Perversion: I thinly lined my eyes and created a slight wing
*Ardell Lashes in 101 Black: Lashes make you feel glamorous, and these were perfect!
*L`Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Blackest Black Waterproof: Last, but not least, waterproof mascara is a MUST for brides or any special occasion. I curled my lashes to make them blend with the false ones and applied two coats.

*MAC Pro Longwear Lip Creme in Overtime: This was the perfect baby/neutral pink to compliment my purple smoky eye! Not only is it beautiful, but it lasts for HOURS!
*MAC Cremesheen in Just Superb: This was the perfect gloss to finish off my lip. It`s a very subtle neutral pink and added a little dimension to my lips.

*CHI Flat Iron: I actually love using my flat iron to create perfect curls. I sectioned my hair into 1-2` pieces and then I curled each piece. I held my curls for about 10 seconds to make sure my curls lasted all day. I left my bangs to the side.
*AquaNet Hair Spray: Haha, the original!
*Bobby Pins: I decided on a half-do, half up and half down. I backcombed the top of my hair to create some height and I did a little mini "bee hive" haha. I then secured it with blonde colored bobby pins
*Hair Flower: My hair flower was actually custom made to match my dress. It was made with luxe taffeta and satin. It has shades of pink and ivory. The middle had a cluster or rhinestones.

*all images are my own, do not steal*

Not only did my makeup look beautiful, but it lasted ALL day and night! It might seem like a lot of products, but I wanted to make sure that I didn`t cut any corners...I was getting photographed every 5 seconds haha. I think the look turned out perfectly, exactly what I wanted. I wanted something edgy and sexy, but still appropiate for a wedding. I hope you enjoyed everything!
