I might have done this post before, I honestly can`t remember and I`m not in the mood to go search lol.
My mom and I like to travel with one another and we`ve done this trip up to northern California twice now.
We went to South Lake Tahoe the first time during an insane snow storm. I mean I was napping while my mom was driving at least 60mph and swerving. I woke up and literally was scared for my life when I saw that we couldn`t see more than 10 feet in front of us. So I feel back asleep as fast as I could. lol
We got to our $70/night room at Best Western. The room and service was well worth it:
- Flat screen
- Two bedrooms
- Free breakfast (which was amazing)
- A block from the lake
- Skiing/snowboarding/ice skating mountain across the street
- Smack dab in the middle of amazing views, fun in the snow, shopping, casinos, restaurants, etc.
We actually ordered pizza the first night because we couldn`t go out. It was snowing REALLY bad.
The next morning, our car was snowed on (duh) and we learned no one could leave or come in to town without chains. My mom didn`t want to pay for chains, so we stayed an extra day.
During this day, we had our free breakfast, walked a bit around the lake (not completely of course lol) watched a movie in town, went shopping, enjoyed a coffee while watching people ice skate, etc.
If you`re able to go to northern California, I would go when there`s snow. Snow makes everything more fun. I think the $70/night was WELL worth it. <3
