I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving last week, and any of you who are brave enough to venture out after dinner and through Friday... I hope you found the deals you were looking for and made it back safe with minimal bruising. x-D I avoid shopping on Black Friday because people becoming crazy! Women will not hesitate to turn their purses into weapons and run down little old men and women with shopping carts! The people in the parking lots will run down pregnant women. (no, I`m serious!) I feared turning on the news Saturday morning to hear the final count of those who died and were injured because of deals offered for Black Friday. It just isn`t worth it to me. YIKES! This post isn`t about that, though, is it? :-) Last minute, the simplicity bug caught hold of me and I decided to just wait for Christmas to deck my nails out in full bling. I figured I would take a more basic route for Thanksgiving. I wanted something a bit sparkly, but I had just caught the early stages of a cold and my little one had been fighting something for weeks, so I didn`t want to spend a lot of time creating a detailed manicure. I decided a solid manicure was the route for this year. I started by applying Sally Hansen Triple Strong for my base coat. Next, I swiped on two coats of OPI Yoga-Ta Get This Blue. To add a tiny bit more shimmer I applied a single coat of OPI I Juggle...Men! That blended in more than I had anticipated, but did give a bit of purple sparkle that the YTGTB didn`t have on it`s own. Lastly, I sealed everything in with a coat of Seche Vite. This manicure held up nicely and got some compliments from family members. There are a couple of us in the family who are very into nails and polish. It seems we are always comparing manicures when we get together. She enjoyed my blue and I was impressed by a lovely red she had on. I should have gotten a picture because it was pretty. It reminded me of China Glaze Ruby Pumps, but less glitter chunks. She mentioned she thought it was a Revlon, which leads me to believe it could have been something like Revlon Saucy. Whatever it was, it was very pretty.
