A friend of mine came by one day a couple summers ago and told me about a great wicker furniture set she saw on the side of the road. She thought it would be perfect for me for a restoration project, so I sent my guy to retrieve it. After he left I realized that he probably wouldn`t come back with it, as he hates anything cluttering up the place and is the type of person has no "vision" with stuff like this, but he surprised me as he pulled into our driveway with it in tow. I have to admit...when I first saw it, I didn`t see a lot of hope. The wicker had come unravelled on most of the leg bottoms, and the seats of both pieces were very weak. I had to reinforce them so they could be used, then repair the frayed wicker. I then I spray painted it, with the beads being done idividually with a paint brush. I had fun! :) I did one piece at a time and it cost me about $30 in paint altogether. I look at it now and am not too crazy about the color. I am thinking I should have done it a chocolate brown with the yellow beads...maybe red. What do you think? What color would you have gone with?
