My friend saw this quaint french cafe in Washington D.C. and wanted to have brunch there and try their food.
The place is called "La Madeleine Country French Cafe"
When we walked in we were greeted with a good morning in French. I totally love that b/c it made almost forget that I was in D.C. and that I might be in France, well at least for one minute. I love the decor also, they hung a lot of the old cutting boards and pans, etc on the way to give you the home away from home feel.
So, what did I order for brunch?
A County French Breakfast: Scrambled eggs, Potato Galette and choice of bacon with a fresh-baked croissant.
I love their croissant. If you ever go there you have to try the croissant.
If you want more info. on the cafe, here is their website:
They have branches located in Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Atlanta, Washington D.C.
