I`m lactose intolerant so I depended on soy milk exclusively for awhile as my milk substitute. I love to eat cereal...plain Cheerios, not the sugary overprocessed kids cereal. So, I needed a milk substitute. But, soy milk has a negative effect where it boost estrogen levels which is bad because it puts you at risk for breast cancer.
So, now I`ve switched to almond milk. I love the stuff and it has more calcium than milk. It is great in cooking too. Gives things a subtle nutty smell.
