My New Haircolor: quotEgyptian Plumquot by Natural Instincts

A few days ago I felt like I needed a change. From time to time I get soooo bored with my hair that I end up doing something funky with it. Since I`m trying to grow it out, chopping it all off wasn`t really an option, so I decided to opt for a temporary color!

My natural hair color is a medium brownish-red as seen in the "Before" picture, so I decided to pump up the volume with a dark burgundy red called "Egyptian Plum" by Clariol`s Natural Instincts. These hair dyes are temporary and only last about 30 days. I have never dyed my hair with a permanent color before and have always had great results with this line!

While my "After" result does not look like a natural color by any means, I love the result! I`ve gotten soooo many compliments on it! I`ve dyed my hair this exact color once before and absolutely adored it! This dye never dries out my hair and always makes it super shiny! The only problem is that it washes out very easily. Whenever I shower, I can see red tinged water dripping down my shoulders :( To help prevent this, I use cold water to wash my hair and I don`t double shampoo it like I normally do. This is the first time I`ve used this dye when Clariol has included the two week color boost packet, so I`ll let you guys know how that works out for me :3

I do have to warn all of you that this color may run a bit if you sweat during exercise, or if you go to bed with wet hair it can rub off on your pillow case. I just make sure I wear dark clothes when I work out and that I either have my hair dried or sleep with a towel over my pillow at bedtime.

I got this color at CVS for only $5.99 plus tax and also went back to pick up an extra box for when my color starts to fade. I plan on keeping my hair this color for a while! :D

Have any of you Luuuxers used this dye before?

Photos are my own.
