Hey guys, well I was going through some pictures that are maybe about a month old. I was so busy with summer classes I never got a chance to upload my attempt at the nail ombre effect. I am not sure what it is exactly called. I used four different colors and light green at the tip of my nails followed by a blue than a purple and lastly a pink towards the nail cuticle. I used a makeup sponge and cut the sponge to the size of my nail length and width. Then I painted my nails white. Then I placed the nail polish on the sponge in rows and started dabbing away I had to do it over a couple of times so the color can show up otherwise they were so light you could barely see the colors. After that I topped it off with a top coat. I really liked the color combo I just hate that this is such a messy process. After I was done my fingers were covered in nail polish I spent more time trying to remove the color around my fingers that putting it on my nails. I have seen so many different looks using this technique it looks so cool and different. I also like that you can use so many different colors and come up with your own set of combinations. I think this works great on both long and short nails. I might try this again using different colors maybe fall colors since the colors I used in this picture are more summer and spring.
