On Friday, I finished filling out an application for the toy store in my local mall and when I stopped there, I was a little nervous since I have been doing nothing but school for the last 3 years, so its been awhile since I applied for a job. So, in order to work up a little bit of courage, I went shopping fantastic idea, I know.
I had plenty of time to peruse the stacks and I did. I tried on a couple of things including a Lauren Conrad dress that made me look like a piece of polka dot vomit and then I found this dress.
Its a four-tier dress with a beaded collar that I absolutely fell in love with. The color is a really nice and not overpowering shade of royal blue and the slightly ruffled fabric actually felt really nice when I had it on in the dressing room. I liked that the top layer of the dress actually has a point to it, which drew attention, for me at least, away from my mid-section and the beaded collar works well in that aspect too, I think. And an even more awesome part was that I got it on sale for $32 and change. When I got home (no thanks to some hellish rain) and showed my mom the dress, I did not want to take it off. It was that comfortable and I actually felt that cute in it, which never happens for me.
The necklace I found entirely on accident. I was looking through their jewelry section for this one specific bracelet that I had seen a week or two prior. This elephant necklace is from Mudds accessory line and the ears actually move, which I thought was pretty cool. I mean, the necklace itself is pretty funky and cute, so I was basically sold after I found out the ears moved. The necklace was a little over $12, and in case anyone is wondering, that is how pale I actually am in the close up of the necklace. The lights in Kohls make me look much less pale than I actually am.
