The other night I was in the mood for some tiramisu. After watching a few videos, I realized how easy it was to make it homemade and so I decided I would try and make it myself.
All you need for tiramisu is :

Espresso or Strong Coffee

Ladyfinger cookies

Marscapone Cheese

Heavy or Whipping cream

Cocoa powder

Rum / Coffee liquor (optional- I didnt use any)

Vanilla

Granulated Sugar

What I did was :

1. Make 1 and a half cups of very strong coffee and pour into a bowl. (Add rum/ liquor here).

2. Whip 3/4s cup of heavy or whipping cream in a bowl, and put into the fridge until ready.

3. Cream together 1/2 lb mascarpone, 1 tsp of vanilla, 1/4 cup sugar, and fold in the whipped cream.

4. Dip each ladyfinger in the coffee mixture and put into the bottom of pan.

5. Once the whole bottom is filled with the soaked ladyfingers, spread half of the mascarpone and cream mixture evenly on top, and sprinkle with a tablespoon of cocoa powder.

6. Repeat with the remaining ladyfingers and place on top of the layers, and again spread over the remaining filling. Sprinkle with the remaining 1 tsp of cocoa powder.

7. Put in the fridge to chill for 6 hours or more.

It was pretty easy to do, the only thing is you cant eat it right away and have to wait some time before trying it. I just put it in the fridge overnight so the time would pass faster haha.
Do you like tiramisu? Have you ever made homemade tiramisu?
