My Halloween Manicure

I know I said I had one more manicure to put up before Halloween. Needless to say, this isn`t it. However, sometimes life happens and I don`t have the time reserved to do more decorative manicures. :-( I didn`t want to have completely bare nails, though, and figured I can still stick with something Halloween-ish. While this is a simple, basic manicure, it holds true to the colors of the holiday and the glitter gives a hint of pizzazz. This only requires 2 polishes and one of the polishes you could omit entirely if you wanted to. I started with my basecoat of Sally Hansen Triple Strong. Then, I layered on a single coat of Sinful Colors Black on black. Next, I applied one coat of China Glaze Ick-A-Bod-Y. Finally, I swiped on a layer of Seche Vite. It was as simple as that! I applied the black base because Ick-A-Bod-Y has a deep green base for the orange glitter to float in. I didn`t want that to show at all. I wanted it to look like black and orange: the standard Halloween Colors. Also, the glitter flecks can be rather gritty and sort of flat looking (as in not shiny) so I, personally, feel that a top coat is a must. I had intended to apply a bit of the Sally Girl glow in the dark polish that I recently picked up but I completely didn`t realize I had skipped over that step until I already had the Seche Vite on. Oh well. Happy Halloween, everyone! I hope you have a great time...whether you have a party to go to, trick-or-treat yourself, or have children/cousins/siblings/etc you are taking trick-or-treating. Just have a fantastic evening!
