I`ve owned a lot of ELF products in the past, but the selection in stores can be much different than the ELF store online, and in my town, their products can sometimes be difficult to find.
So I finally decided to buy online when they had their free shipping code
this is what I bought/was sent:
-ELF Custom Compact
-ELF hypershine lipgloss in Flirt
-ELF eye tranformer
-ELF eyebrow treat and tame in Dark
-ELF eyelid primer in champagne(from the essentials dollar line)
-ELF waterproof eyeliner pen in Coffee
-ELF blending eye brush(5 dollars from mineral line)
Firstly, I`ll talk about the blending brush, pretty lightweight and soft, but not very dense. picture is compared to the sonia kashuk pointed blending brush
the eyebrow treat and tame is pretty dark, but not as dar as I was afriad it was going to be, also it swatches darker than the ELF eyebrow kit in medium, just as a reference point. and the treat side doesnt look like it has a ton of product, but the brush is much bigger than the Rimmel lash accelerator, and has 0.17oz, versus the 0.37oz in the rimmel one. will be testing this one out sometime soon and doing a post about it.
The ELF eye transformer is just a lot of fun to play around with. First picture is the shadows swatched alone, next to the colors swatched over the original dollar ELF primer on the right. and next is the swatched with primer versions next to the ones swatched over NYX`s jumbo pencil in black bean. So pretty!
this is the ELF eyelid primer in Champagne next to the original ELF eyelid primer in sheer. I`ll wait to open this and play around with it when I`ve finished up a few of my other primers. review coming soon?
Next is the ELF custom compact that I purposely bought empty just in case I buy some pan shadows that will need a home.
-I bought an ELF liner in Coffee, looks exactly like a marker, which is cool, but the tip of mine was a little dried out, so mine might have been a dud? (eh it happens) but I`ve heard many people hype about how great the black version is. Mine is currently in my eyebrush holder, upside down, in an attempt to "revive" it. for me, the product sort of dispensed a bit dry and hard to make a solid line. the swatches came out ok though.
-and lastly the ELF hypershine lipgloss in Flirt. It was added onto my order as a free gift, for reffering 3 different emails to ELF. I own a ton of gloss/ lip products, so I was happy to be sent one of these. its a sticky gloss that is a bit pigmented, and shows up well on my lips, but more pigmented lips, I can see how the color payoff wouldn`t be as saturated as it is on mine. sweet scent, not a weird taste that I can note. I like it, very nice.
now that I`ve got some of the things that I`ve been eyeing from elf for quite a while, I want to place another order soon and dip into some of the mineral line and possibly other stuff (I`m obsessed!)
What are some of you ELF recommendations?
