My Dinner @ my Boyfriends Birthday Dinner

I took my boyfriend out for dinner on his birthday during the beginning of the month. We went to a local restaurant, about 10 minutes away from our house, that I had heard about in the past but we had never stopped in on. I asked my boyfriend if hed like to go there so I picked up a Groupon for the restaurant so I paid $25 for a $50 gift certificate. His mom was coming to dinner with us as well, so I figured for $25 plus whatever overage, Id foot the bill. My boyfriend and I use a lot of gift cards, living social deals and/or groupons when we go out to eat because if we can save money that way, why not?

My boyfriend and his mom both got steak tips with their choice of sides (starch and 2 vegetables) my boyfriend being the funny guy he is asked for french fries and skipped on veggies. I told him they had onion rings and he asked the waiter if he could have onion rings as his vegetable and the water agreed (LOL!)

This plate is what I had picked out for dinner. I originally went in thinking I was going to have a turkey dinner but when I asked the waiters what was the best poultry dish on their menu, they all said this one was it, so I ordered that. This is the Stuffed Chicken Florentine which according to the menu is a pounded & rolled chicken breast, stuffed with spinach & buffalo mozzarella, baked and topped with a sundried tomato cream sauce.

I ordered plain steamed green beans and a plain baked potato as my sides. The meal was very good. The chicken was cooked well and the cream sauce was delicious. The sundried tomatoes were not my thing, I pulled them off and set them to the side (Ive never been a fan; theyre too chewy in general).

Would you try a meal like this if you went out to dinner?
