I remember when I was younger, my mom would take me to these shoplots which we call the Indian Street and let me indulge and choose whatever snacks I like to buy from the Indian vendor. It`s a rare occasion though and it only happens once in a blue moon since she doesn`t win the lottery that often :D Anyways, Indian Street is just like modern day China Town, it`s the place where you find lots of good food, groceries and just about everything. I have always loved eating Murrukku, which is also knows as Chakri/Chakli, and it isa very popular snack in Malaysia. Murukku is a deep fried, spiral-shaped snack that has been flavored with spices such as cumin, ajawain, chilli etc. I found this at a Pakistani store recently and I knew I had to get it, it brought back lots of memories of my childhood and I cannot wait to be home to visit Indian Street again :)
