The Arctic is probably one of the last places on Earth I`d ever want to visit namely because of the cold. Mt. Erebus is one of the handful of volcanoes that has a permanent lava lake. The volcano frequently erupts and hurls balls of lava into the air. Around Warren Cave`s entrance are a bunch of passages and scalloping of ice caused by the heat of the volcano and air currents. Ice inside the caves form the volcano`s warm, wet air which freezes into frost crystals. I really want to see a volcano up close one day, but I don`t think it`ll be this one even though it does look quiet and peaceful, I like warm and tropical climates.
Have you seen a volcano in person before?
If so where was it?
Would you want to see one from a helicopter tour some day?
