German courts have issued a permanent ban on Apple`s iCloud service in the region, following a patent dispute between the firm and Motorola.
It was ruled that the iCloud service violated several patents held by Motorola.
Apple has confirmed it will be appealing against the ruling.
The dispute is essentially been based around a particular patent pertaining to how a device synchronises, in what Apple claims is Motorola`s repeated `refusal to license this patent to Apple on reasonable terms, despite having declared it an industry standard patent seven years ago.`
At present Apple has had to remove a number of its products from the online German Apple Store however those products have remained on sale in the physical stores themselves.
