Okay so when Apple unveiled the Retina display on the Iphone 4 in the summer of 2010 we all thought that was the most amazing screen ever. It had a pixel density of 326PPI (pixels per inch) and basically it had a clarity unseen in smartphones previously. The Retina display from apple really kicked off the super high resolution revolution in smartphones. Since then companies like HTC, Samsung, Motorola have been releasing phones with comparable or even higher resolution screen than the Iphone. Just recently released smartphones; the HTC DNA (Jbutterfly) and Oppo Find 5 both are 5 inch displays that have 440PPI, which is absolutely incredible. However there will soon be a new king of pixel density in 2013 HTC is set to release the HTC One (successor to the One X) this year and it will have have a 4.7 inch display at 468PPI. To many of us the extra 28PPI may not mean much but I know that it is certain gonna be a crystal clear display like we have never seen and definitely is something to brag about to your friends! I can`t wait for this monster to come out! Anyways catch you guys later!
