I am having such huge success with my garden this year. I have no idea why, it might be due to the weather or I`m just plain having some good luck. Last year was a total failure. These here are Mortgage Lifter Heirloom tomatoes. They are meaty with very few seeds. You can use them for sandwiches or even stir fry them with some eggs like I did. These can get up to 2 lbs and some get heavier than that. All I added to the plants when they were growing were some fish emulsion. I love to grow my own tomatoes cause I love to see how things grow from a tiny plant to huge ones with fruits to harvest. I know they are cheaper at Asian markets but those most likely have pesticides sprayed onto them. Growing your own gives yourself control on what you put on your food which lands on your plate. You can also control when you harvest them too. The ones you see in markets usually are harvested before they are fully ripe. I will definitely grow these again next year. I`ve already saved some of the seeds.
