Moroccan Oil Intense Curl Cream Review
I was lucky enough to find this curl cream at a beauty product warehouse outlet sometime last year. These Moroccan Oil brand products can be pretty expensive, with this curl cream retailing near 30 dollars! However, when I visited the outlet, they had it on sale for 10 dollars. I had never tried any Moroccan Oil products before since they are so expensive, but after the girl suggested it for my thick, curly hair, I decided to give it a shot.
I loved it so much, a few days later I went back and bought 5 more bottles! This product literally changed my entire hair care routine, and allowed me to streamline my hair styling process. I brush out my hair when I am out of the shower, apply a couple pumps of the cream followed by a serum or oil of some sort. I then wrap my hair up in a towel and allow it to dry for at least 20-30 minutes while I get ready. Once it is dry, I let my hair down, shake it out and apply a generous amount of hairspray all over. If Im careful, I can keep my hair for 2-3 days before it gets frizzy and since my is very dry, dont like washing it more often than that anyways!
The problem with the outlet I visit is that they dont have consistent products they happen to carry what the warehouses need to get rid of. So while Ive gone back a few times since, they havent had any more of my curl cream available!
Im now on my last bottle, and I refuse to pay 30 bucks for the product at salons or stores while it has been great for my hair, it isnt without its problems and I cant justify paying that much! Sometimes, the product has gritty pieces almost like sand in it which is weird and it also creates buildup if you use a lot, since its really thick. The product also congeals very easily which makes it difficult to distribute evenly in the hair. The pump also leaves a lot of product left in the bottom, and since I have been running low, Ive been forced to cut open the bottle to scrape up the last bits.
So while Im finishing up this last bottle, I now need to find an alternative for my curl cream. Do you have any ideas or suggestions for creams that have worked for you?
