I had to go out yesterday and pick up a few things for my babies and my house and while I was shopping I picked up a few beauty related items for myself. I have been on a makeup and hair product purchasing hiatus because I really need to get through most of the things I already have. So I only picked up a few essentials. After doing my grocery shopping I stopped by Family Dollar and Dollar General which are my local discount stores.
From Family Dollar:
I scored some nail polish remover. I got a 12 ounce bottle for only $1.75. I run through polish remover quickly so I decided to get the larger bottle than what I usually buy which is the 6oz bottle for $1.00. I got the strengthening formula for natural nails since I am growing out my nails. Look out for future nails posts to see their progress. Ill do a full nail routine and progress post later.
I also picked up the LA Colors Super Strength Nail Builder base coat for only $1.00. I wanted to get the Sally Hansen Hard As Nails base coat but since I already have a couple of different base coats I decided against getting a more expensive one until I get through the ones I already have. Ill be trying the LA Colors Strengthener tonight when I do my nails so Ill review it after a few uses.
From Dollar General:
I scored 2 wide tooth combs by Belle. One is a shower comb which has a hooked handle and one is a regular wide tooth comb that has no handle. I love wide tooth combs and I only detangle my hair with them. I actually have 2 really good ones already but I misplaced one and the other one I have is way too big to carry in my purse so I decided to get a the Belle combs since the one without the handle is great purse size. They are both seamless and seem to be very good quality.
I also got another LA Colors Color Craze nail polish in Confetti. It is a gorgeous glitter polish. It has a clear base with red, silver, and blue chunky glitter. I just LOVE it. I have a very similar one by Wet n wild but it had gotten very thick and goopy so I added some polish thinner to it which totally ruined the polish. I dont know what it has in it that made it react horribly to the polish thinner but I am glad I got to score this one for only $1.00.
So thats pretty much it for my little beauty haul from yesterday. Look out for a nail routine post and progress updates for my nails and hair!!
