Mojito Madness, oh my!

Last night I was quite bored while the hubby played COD. I didn`t have much to do so I figured I would just paint my nails. I try not to paint them late, especially if I will be going to bed soon. I`ve had one too many manicures ruined because I sleep like death. Luckily I woke up this morning and they were just as pretty as they were last night.

For this manicure I chose Mojito Madness from Essie`s lates collection. Bikini so teeny. I got lucky and found them on a shopping trip yesterday at Walmart.

I used 2 coats to get them opaque. One would have worked but it left a few streaks. The application wasn`t bad either. I dod think for my next time I will add thinner to the polish since it was pretty thick. I usually like to dip once and have that cover the nail. I had to dip twice to get nail fully colored.

After both hands were painted, I decided I did want to leave it plain, though its gorgeous just like that. I got Essie`s Sand Tropez, and began doing strokes on my nails. Going at an angle, I made strokes beginning partially in th beginning of my nail bed down to the tip. Makinging each stroke slighly shorter than the last. I alternated between Both colors, finishing with ST. This is very easy and gives a scalloped effect.

When done, I topped my mani off with Rock`s top coat. I highly recommend this. I prefer to Seche Vite. It helps keep my mani`s longer. Less chips. As well as it doesn`t pull from the cuticle, unlike Seche Vite. Next I applied 2 drops of Orly`s quick dry drops.

I am really loving this color! If you don`t have it, go get it!

What do you think of this shade? Is this something you wear?
