I MADE THIS FOR MY HUBBY A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO AND HE LOVED IT. MOFONGO IS MADE WITH FRIED PLANTAINS AND SOME OLIVE OIL AND GARLIC....THEN I COOKED THE SHRIMP WITH A LITTLE BIT OF BUTTER AND TOSSED IT IN MINCED GARLIC. THE OCTOPUS WAS COOKED FOR AND HOUR IN WATER AND SALT AND THEN I ADDED PEPPERS, OIL, OLIVES, ONIONS AND SALT AND PEPPER. IT CAME OUT DELICIOUS.
